For the last few months, the interweb has been positively buzzing with Barack Obama hype. I’m no election buff, but this seems to be something new (and exclusive to Obama). What’s especially interesting is that most references to Obama I stumbled upon have little to do with politics. Maybe the nerds feel they are finally being heard.

Plurk is a Twitter clone that shows ‘tweets’ on a timeline, which is pretty nifty. I really don’t understand why all these apps think they have to reinvent the wheel though. Twitter API anyone?
